Cultivating discussion and awareness about issues related to women in STEM fields
Promoting mentorship and fellowship opportunities between students and female staff and faculty
Providing and promoting opportunities for career development and advancement for students and trainees
In addition to our role on campus, Women in STEM aims to promote STEM education for youth who are not traditionally encouraged to enter jobs in these fields (i.e. girls, minorities, low-income students) and to be a source of community education on STEM issues. To this aim, we organize a variety of outreach and mentoring opportunities with the local community.
